ABATE is not anti-helmet.  ABATE is against mandatory helmet laws for all riders in all situations.  The emphasis on helmet laws detracts from safety training, driver awareness, accident avoidance and rider education.  Helmets do nothing to prevent accidents and have questionable effectiveness in different types of accidents.
